All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card. For all room bookings, payment will be taken 48 hours before arrival from the card details entered during the check out process, for all other bookings (spa, products) payment will be taken at the point of booking.
If you are booking to stay with us over the festive period on our three night Christmas package or two night Christmas package or New Year breaks - please note that a non refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation, with the balance due by 1st December. Our team will be in touch once you have made your reservation to take the deposit and confirm meal/treatment timings and then call around 1st December to take the balance due.
If you wish to use a gift voucher as your payment, please do not book online, you will need to call our reservations team on 0191 516 1400 to make your booking. Please advise us of your voucher code in advance of your arrival. Credit/debit card details will be required to guarantee your booking. If possible, please hand the original voucher to our reception team on arrival.
We advise taking our travel insurance on your booking.
Reservations can be cancelled or amended without charge up to 12 noon, 48 hours prior to arrival. Please note this excludes our Christmas and New Year breaks
All prices include VAT.
On arrival, a valid credit card will be required to administer a pre-authorisation charge of £50 for hotel suites or £150 for our Bungalow suites. Please note that the authorisation can remain as a pending transaction for up to 30 days.
All special offers are subject to availability and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Management has the right to cancel an offer at any time.
If your package includes dinner, light bites or afternoon tea, please make reservations at the time of booking and notify us of any allergies or dietary requirements. If you do not make a reservation, our team will allocate a time and send you a confirmation. If the allocated times are unsuitable, please call us to amend the booking as soon as possible.
Our duvets are feathers and our pillows are duck and down. Should you require an alternative, please contact us in advance of your arrival
With cashless payments on the rise, it can sometimes be hard to leave a tip. That’s why we’ve made the decision to add a discretionary contribution of 7.5% to your bill on departure, so you can rest assured your tip for the team is taken care of.
All of your tip will go to the team. Plus, we’ll also make a contribution to local charities on your behalf. And, of course, if you’d rather not contribute, please just say and we’ll take the 7.5% charge from your bill.

Kindly note, our Serenity Spa is an adults-only spa. However, residential children are welcome to use our spa facilities within the following times: 8.30am - 10am, 4.30pm - 6pm. Those aged under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Dietary Requirements If anyone within your party has dietary requirements no matter how small please do call ahead and give at least 48hours notice so our team can accommodate. In the event that we do not know ahead of the day we may not be able to cater for them. The Dining Room Dinner is served between 6.30pm and 9pm daily. Advanced reservations are required. As part of our journey to becoming more sustainable we are now offering a five course daily set menu only.
The Ozone Please note if you are dining in the Ozone, due to the relaxed environment there will be other diners in their robes.
Afternoon Tea Afternoon tea is served Thursday to Sunday and advance reservations are required. A £10 per person deposit is required to secure your table at the time of booking, this can be paid over the phone with a credit or debit card. Unfortunately without a deposit we are unable to take your reservation. If you make a reservation online, one of our team will be in touch regarding the deposit. Should you have a gift voucher as your payment, we will require the code and this will be used to guarantee your booking All afternoon reservations are subject to a 48-hour cancellation policy. Should you need to amend or cancel your booking 48 hours prior to your reservation, no charges apply and your deposit will be kept as credit for a future booking. However, should you need to amend or cancel within 48 hours of your arrival, your deposit will be forfeited. If you are paying with a gift voucher, your voucher will then be redeemed and cannot be used at a later date. All cancellation requests must be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org, quoting the date of your reservation and your name. Once your request has been received, it will be confirmed by our team via email. We are unable to offer a nut free afternoon tea.
Full payment will be taken at the time of your spa reservation. Should you wish to cancel your reservation a 50% refund will be available up to 48hours prior to arrival. Cancellations made within 48hours will result in full loss of payment. Should you experience any symptoms of Covid 19 ahead of your arrival at the spa, you will be advised to reschedule your visit.
Spa Robes, Towels and Slippers are provided to ensure utmost comfort as part of your experience with us. Please note that all robes and towelling are GPS tagged and should be returned to the laundry baskets provided in our change areas at the end of each visit. Failure to comply to our procedures will result in fixed penalty charges.
The age requirement is 16 years and over for access to Spa. Guests who are 16-17 years old should be accompanied by a person aged over 18 years.
